For those of you who would like to start a meditation practice or are interested in some of the practices out there, I thought I’d tell you a little about some of the great products I’ve come across. Click on the Headings to go straight to the website where you can find out more details.
I began using Holosync two years ago and I really like it. You begin with the “Dive” which is half an hour, and then add the “Immersion” track, so your meditation practice is one hour long. The sounds are of rain falling, gongs and waves crashing. There are additional tracks available, and after you have spent a few months on the first set of discs you move up to the next level. I enjoy listening to the tracks, but ideally you need an hour minimum daily to progress your practice, and it’s quite expensive.
I started using these meditations from the team at “entheos” last year when I was following Alexandra Johnsons, Rock Your Goddess Life program. Her program was amazing and as part of the supporting documents and files I received a number of these meditations. They are 15 minutes long and very competitively priced. There is a range to pick from, so you pick the ones most suitable for your purpose.
I started using these meditations as I progressed in my Law of Attraction studies. The book is very inexpensive, each meditation is only 15 minutes, and there is a real focus on your breathing, while listening to Esther Hicks voice. There are 4 meditations and I chose a different one each day.
I’ve only recently come across these meditations. It’s great to join a challenge if you want to make meditation a daily practice. Knowing that others are doing the same meditation as you and that there is a community of people to talk to if you wish, is very supportive. The meditations have some beautiful music, with a very soothing voice talking you through some big questions to meditate on. These are quite different from what I’ve tried in the past, and I’m really enjoying them.
This is another recent meditation product which has been released by the great team at Mind Valley. They have designed 5 different tracks each suitable for a different time of the day, waking up, focusing, relaxing after your day, going to sleep, and each is available in 15 and 30 minute tracks. I’ve only just started using these, and they are pleasant to listen to.
This is just a small selection of the products that are available. I encourage you to take a look at one that grabs your attention. But meditation is a very personal thing, it doesn’t matter which method you choose, just find something that you enjoy and you’re more likely to stick with it.
I’ve written another blog about meditation.
